Thank you for your interest in The Little Gallery under the Stairs (TLGUTS). TLGUTS is a privately owned first sale gallery and studio space committed to exhibiting fine art and high craft which is process driven and communicates a personal story, journey, or point of view.

True to its name, TLGUTS is an intimately sized gallery in the lower level of the LynnArts community art center, offering an unintimidating viewing experience for our audience.

The mission of the gallery is to provide artists with exhibition space to promote their work in an environment that supports and respects their passion, vision and voice; provide our viewing audience with a meaningful experience; and create community between creators, collectors, enthusiasts, and newbies.

Director Jocelyn Almy-Testa says, ''My goal is that every person who walks through the door leaves with what ever it is they were looking for, whether it be a work of art, support, a sense of community, entertainment, inspiration, information, education, or a conversation.''

Our exhibition schedule runs parallel to LynnArts' gallery program. We are committed to complimenting and supporting the LynnArts community. We feature solo and group exhibits, house two artist studios, and offer studio workshops. We are currently developing an “artist resource room” where artists can share non-consumable materials and access print resources during gallery hours. Please check back for further development of this endeavor in the Spring of 2009.

We also provide space and promotional support for independent, professional instructors and demonstrators to host studio workshops and educational demonstrations.
